Hiya! I'm Morgan

I'm a professional photo editor, roaming often, but spending most of my time in the San Francisco Bay Area. I grew up in a small town a few miles from San Francisco; meaning there weren’t city luxuries like a single restaurant being open past 9 pm, but I could see there was a whole jam-packed adventurous life to be lived just across the Golden Gate.

I graduated from San Francisco State University with my BFA in Photography and promptly got to work trying to break my way into the industry. I spent a few years moving around the West Coast working a variety of photography jobs, spanning from studio photographer to analog digitalization to quality control supervisor for a large-scale post-production editing company.

Flamingo House is the culmination of all those years and experiences. It is the tireless effort of working internships and odd jobs, the fear and joy that freelancing can offer, the limitations of a 9 to 5 that had me seeking alternative paths; it's all part of this journey. Creating Flamingo House has allowed me the opportunity to invest my post-production skills into a market where I am able to work one-on-one with clients I truly enjoy working with.

More About Morgan

1.

One of my biggest pet peeves is seeing a dog and being too far away to pet it.

2.

I always carry around a condiment packet of hot sauce (in case of emergency).

3.

I have two different types of earlobes! One is detached, while the other is attached (you just checked yours didn't you?).

4.

I play in a rec soccer league under the team name "one-hit wonders" since our first season we only scored one singular goal. My position on the team is jokingly referred to as chaos (for soccer fans I’m a forward).

5.

Years ago I worked as a bike messenger, shoutout to Postmates, when I briefly lived in Seattle. I rarely bike nowadays.

6.

While I spend most of my time editing I still like to shoot film photography (just for myself) and I own 9 film cameras! My favorite is my Rolleiflex TLR.
